Setting spray to powerful might be making grapple more effective at breaking fungi

I've noticed that when you use the grapple to break fungus, it creates a splash in the color of the spray you currently have equipped. That made me curious whether the equipped spray also affects the grapple’s power. So I started trying to break fungus using only the grapple, and it genuinely feels like the powerful spray makes it much more effective at breaking fungi. I don’t have any data or comparisons to back this up, but it honestly seems like it’s breaking more than it’s supposed to.
